Kai trotted through the grasses, the delicate blades bending as her bod went through them. A small body followed closely on her flank, which would be Keltan. The young pup was small but in good health, seeing Kai always put her pup first. Kai was slightly worse for wear, tired of traveling. They came to a nice spot in the grassy plains and decided to rest for a minute.
Her white fur glistened when as she sat, the muscles rippled under her pelt. Keltan curled up into a small grey ball, panting softly. Kai nuzzled him gently, her senses alert, searching for danger. Sensing nothing at the moment, she hovered over her small pup, the only thing she had to live for.

Within seconds the echoing sound of playful barking would shoot across the clearing as Remi leaped in and out of hte grass, chasing after what would at first seem like nothing. But, as the wolf got closer, so would hte object of his attention. It was a small sparrow, who he was simply racing after. He wasn't even trying to catch it for food. One could easily mistake him for a younger wolf.
Sheer joy was plastered on his panting face as he finally gave up on winning the 'race' and slowed down, coming to a stop before even noticing he wasn't alone. Still out of breath, he simply dipped his head a little in greeting before flopping down to wait for his breathing to calm again.

As soon as the sound of the bark reached her auds, Kai stood abruptly into a gaurded posture. Kai watched as the other wolf chased after the small bird with joy and come to a stop eventually where he finally noticed her and Keltan. Though he didn't seem to pose a threat she was still tense, not being one who trusted easily. I dipped my dial slightly in return to his gesture out of politeness. She eyed him as he flopped down, refusing to drop her gaurd.
Keltan lifted his head in fear and stood up and cowered behind his mother, not liking strangers one bit. He peeked out from behind his mother's haunches and watched the other with slight curiousity, but he would wait until his mother let him know it was okay before exploring the playful new wolf.

Finally catching his breath after a minute or so, he glanced over at her--No, them. There was a pup cowering behind her. He smiled slightly at them both.
Shouldn't stress, you know. Too much stress ruins the fun in life.
He told her, a grin still on his maw. He wasn't the most serious wolf in the world, but he meant well. He didn't bother getting up, figuring that would only make the she-wolf more nervous.
Name's Remiel, by the way. Who're you?

I eyed him warily as he told me not to stress. That was an odd way to strike a conversation. My auds flickered to and fro as he introduced himself as Remiel. Kai. And this is my pup Keltan. I replied. Even though I had had some rough times, my voice was unmarred by them. It was fluid and at the moment had a friendly hint. I sat onto my haunches though I was still wary of the male before us.
Keltan skittered to the side as his mother sat. He decided to sit down next to her very closely, our pillars touching closely causing their ebony and smokey pelts to intermingle. He then decided to lay down, seeing as he was exhausted and his mother was beginning to relax.

Without a pack...Impressive, for one with a pup. But you really should take care of yourself as well. Without you at the top of your game, how will he continue to live as well as he is?
Remi had easily noticed that Keltan was in much better shape than Kai. One could say he had grown up a bit, that he made these connections. It didn't mean he was usually much of a thinker, unless it was to save someone in one way or another.

She grimaced as he stated her physical condition. She held her tounge wanting to give hm a nasty retort out of reflex. He wasn't trying to be rude, just observant. I am just fine. I said, trying to defend her pride. She did not like admiting she needed help, let alone have someone point out that she probably could use some. She may not look her best, but she knew she didn't look to rugged. She was just tired. It was hard trying to protect a pup alone. She was doing her best. She looked down at the bundle of smokey fluff that was her fluff with a slight sadness, knowing why it was this way. The sadness disappeared as she looked back at the young brute, not willing to show any weak emotion. I just need rest. She said at last.

Then rest somewhere safer. You will not get any rest here, I can promise you that. Too many come through here, you'll hardly be able to sleep, let alone rest properly. Join me in Paragon for a while. There's a bunch of caves, not to mention a claimed land, unlike this one, one to whoever comes by.
He got back up, shaking some loose dirt off his white fur, as he waited for an answer.

She hesitated, unsure if she could trust Remiel. He has yet to prove that she could not, but she wasn't the trusting kind. She looked back down at Keltan, knowing she should accept, for him. If anything we could leave after we rested and Remiel seemed to be good. She just hoped she wouldn't be proven wrong. She looked back at him. Alright, We'll come with you. She told him. I lowered my head to nuzzle Keltan, gently waking him so he could follow. He lifted his sleepy eyes and blinked at her and she licked him with affection. She then stood and ruffled her pelt, waiting for Keltan to rise. When he did, she nodded to Remiel to let him know they were ready to follow.

Remi, knowing they were tired, kept to a walk the whole way there. Unusually quiet, he wasn't thinking much. Just not saying much either. He made sure to stay close enough that Kai could relax, but far enough that she wouldn't get nervous about him. She didn't seem much like the trusting sort, especially since many opened up to Remi easily, what with his charismatic, albeit weird, behaviour. They passed into his lands without him even really commenting. After all, scent markers were there. Unlike some, he felt no need to announce it. He was still having troubles considering it his own.
